This test was from our big round table back in October as well. We had a good time tasting some unique brews and State Pen was amongst those. This brew came out strong and this is the comments from Adam, Jason, Mindy, Steve, Marty, and Tim.
- Nice assortment of flavors
- Hint of chocolate taste and smell
- A thick froth as expected
- Great lacing
- Very smooth
- Again taste like a hint of coffee/chocolate
- Lighter than expected/looks
This porter was really awesome. I am not a heavy porter drinker by any means but this one really was great to taste. Santa Fe Brewing Co really came out strong for this porter and I hope this hits the table again in the future. Here are the scores:

Don't know what happened with Tim, either I never asked or forgot to write it down but I can tell you Mindy asked for seconds on this and I can't blame her. If you like porter or can at least stomach to try it I highly recommend this if you are around NM.
