2Kgs Racism Free for the Rest of Black History Month 2012

I know many readers were awaiting the official announcement from 2 Kilograms that we were going to put our dogs in the fight to celebrate the historic month of February, and for you, this is it. As many people around the world look forward to celebrating the vast accomplishments of blacks, we too cherish February. We were going to announce it on the 1st of the month but later found out that some of the guys weren’t ready in time. I am not going to name names, but there were issues with racist jokes, unwanted off-color remarks, and disingenuous commitment to Black History Month. It took us a few weeks to get everything straight and everyone playing ball…but we are ready to put all our jokes, wisecracks, and one-liners away for the rest of February.

So I can ensure that from February 25, 2012 till midnight February 29th, 2012 we will do our absolute best not to make any remarks or jokes that would possibly take away from the celebration we are facing this month. We are proud to take part in this remembrance, and overjoyed that we were able to come to such a resolution. We are however, disappointed that there will be a race that will have to be removed from each,”So a Jew, Russion, and a, errr, walk into a bar,” joke, but for the next 4 days we intend to hold our promise.

For those that seen us as a bunch of hooligans can now shutter the idea that we cannot rise to the occasion when needed. 2 Kilograms is committed to doing great things. This does not include Asian-Pacific Month though as there couldn’t be a joke with that missing. So to ensure we are all on the same page, we will not be competing in the following months”

It’s not that we don’t want to, but by participating in these we would virtually have no content to provide our readers. We want to, believe us, but it’s just too much to ask. If somehow we could combine all these months into a single week and just do it all in one shot we would more than likely be able to work in a couple days. We hope all our readers will understand that it’s not that we don’t want to, it’s more of a “we can’t”.
